So yes I know I haven't been on here in a while and here's why: On Wednesday last week, Elle came to stay and we had a jolly good time getting "lost" in Newcastle, which included finding a place to plat Putt Putt....hehe it was great fun! We were the oldest ones there without children :P I won!!! hehe We also went for a walk down to the Breakwater (which isn't very far) to look at what I had affectionately know as Swansea Heads, but is (according to the street directory) called Reid's Mistake Head...go figure. On Saturday we drove down Sydney, which is where I was up until today. On Sunday I returned to my old habits and went down to malabar at the lovely hour of six in the morning to feed the ponies. Revv wouldn't talk to me for ages (do you think he was pissed bc I left him?? ):) but he eventually came around. The actual day's rides were cancelled after the nin o'clocker came back drenched and half frozen, so we did the cleaning and extra feeds and left Franky to let them out at the end of the day. It turned out to be great because I got a chance to catch up with Hol!! :D On Monday Elle and I did the touristy thing and went into the city, we went to the Powerhouse and Maratime Museums and wandered around Darling Harbour for hours, until our feet felt like they were going to fall off, and then we caught the bus back to Elle's. On Tuesday Mezz and Robbo came over and we had a crazy day of Monopoly and Cluedo, and went for a drive around Malabar and La Pa (don't ask me I was just driving, they just kept saying "go left!" so I did). And had lunch at four in the afternoon. Wednesday I took Elle and Mezz out on a trail ride on Big Jimmy and Showzoff respectively, which was hillarious!! Unfortunately Mezz left her camera in the car only to be brought out when I was riding Revv afterward...I might post some of the pics when she sends them too me (!!) But I warn you, you can really tell I haven't been on a horse much lately! Last night I stayed over with Merran, and this morning I drove home. I've just gotten back from a tea, we went out for Thai as Egghead is still in Sydney. All in all I've had a good week! Tomorrow I'm going to see a movie with a couple of girls from Uni, any suggestions?? Oh yeah, I finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and I loved it!!! It and the film can stand completely apart as great works and I thoroughly recommend both! I am now back on Age of Innocence which has begun to pick up :). Night Night!

I thought riding a horse was like riding a bike, something you don't really forget how to do? And yeah, Revv was probably miffed that you left him. I had a bird once that I left for the weekend with a friend, and he started biting me as soon as I got back. :( He got over it pretty soon though. Glad you had such a fun time in Sydney. WITHOUT me. :P hehe too true, I could give you a list of every time Ive fallen off, but Ive lost count of how many times Ive ridden. :) Play ground equipment, chairs, beds, couches, bikes, houses, railings, cars etc. Off/from same thing. Once fell asleep riding my bike, well that was not a comfortable ending. I can tell the sorry if you want it was quite funny. hehe sounds fun, please do! PS - I posted all the falls I can remember, namely the embarassing and large ones :P I live about half way down a really long (not particularly steep) hill. I was really tired, I forget why. I put on some speed and got myself to about 50ish and then I sat back cause I could ride with no hand and I was tired. I fell asleep immediately and about 30 metres down the road I hit the gutter and bit the concrete losing most of my shoulder. Lucky me I landed and stopped rolling just before the soft, soft grass. Theres horse riding, and theres horse riding, I could still ride decently but certainly not as well as I used to...:( Yeah he forgave me after I found his itchy spot. ;) I miss u!!! http://www.livejournal.com/community/na A couple of horsey icons for you. Saw them and thought you might like some. |
I love Putt Putt, I like winning too *grins*. Monopoly kicks ass too though my sisters are too smart so I don't enjoy Cluedo as much because I have about 0% chance of winning against them. |
